The Recording Industry owes you $20
If you are in the US or one of its Territories, and you bought a cd between 1995 and 2000, then you have some money coming to you. Recently, the government brought an antitrust suit against the recording industry, accusing it of price fixing. It is hard to argue with this accusation, seeing as how cd prices increased steadily during that period despite a drop in production costs, so it is no surprise that the recording industry decided to settle for $143million.
